Macclesfield begin the 2008/09 League Two campaign at Shrewsbury after being handed an opening-day away trip for the fifth season running.The Silkmen travel to Shropshire on Saturday, August 9 and then face Bradford at home the following week.

A trip to Accrington and another home game against Darlington then completes a busy opening month.

Keith Alexander's men face a first-ever league meeting with Aldershot Town at the Moss Rose on Saturday, October 11 before travelling to the Recreation Ground on Saturday, January 17, 2009.

Macclesfield end their campaign with a final-day trip to Grimsby on Saturday, May 2.
