Stan Ternent's Huddersfield side will launch their 2008/9 campaign in League One with a home clash against newly-promoted Stockport.The Terriers will take on Jim Gannon's League Two play-off final winners at the Galpharm Stadium on August 9 and will follow that up with a trip to relegated Colchester seven days later (August 16).

League Two champions MK Dons are next up for Town at home on August 23, while Town will take on promotion favourites and West Yorkshire rivals Leeds at Elland Road on November 15, with the return at the Galpharm on February 14.

Ternent's side face a daunting run-in in April against Southend, Scunthorpe, Carlisle, Walsall and Brighton and will wrap up their season with a last-day trip to Leyton Orient on May 2.
