Aston Villa begin the 2008-2009 Premier League campaign with a home game against Manchester City on Saturday August 16.Martin O'Neill's side travel to Stoke in their first away clash of the season, rounding off August with a visit from Liverpool.

Villa face Midlands rivals West Brom at The Hawthorns for the first of their derby clashes on September 20, the return fixture being the first league game of 2009 on January 10.

The Villans end the push for glory with four fixtures in May, hosting new-boys Hull on May 2nd before trips to Fulham and Middlesbrough.

They conclude the season with a visit from Kevin Keegan's Newcastle on May 24.
