Solberg: That's wasn't bad at all.

Subaru's Petter Solberg takes his fourth points' finish of the season in Turkey.

While there was no repeat of the runners-up spot he took on the Acropolis two weeks ago, Subaru's Petter Solberg was still very happy following his sixth place finish on the Rally of Turkey last weekend.

'Hollywood' ran in the points throughout the eighth round in the 2008 World Rally Championship and considering this was only the second outing with the all-new Impreza WRC2008, he set some very respectable times.

Indeed, on the longest stage, the gruelling 31.03 kilometre Olympos test, Solberg attacked hard to overcome a start-line stall and become the fastest man for much of the latter section of the stage.

In total he set eleven top-six efforts, including two fourths, and at the finish he was only 20 seconds or so off Citroen's Dani Sordo, who came in fourth, reiterating in the final service what he said in Greece, namely that the car has loads of potential and that it won't be difficult to find more speed.

"This weekend has not been bad at all, no real problems. On lots of stages we've had fastest splits and been faster than anyone else which is very good," stated the Norwegian. "The car is very reliable, and it's been a difficult past two rallies but the engineers have learned a lot and have a very good strategy plan.

"The guys know exactly where to work on the car now so I think it will be no problem to find a lot more in this car. It definitely has so much potential, so we just need to work to make the most of that. We still have some work to do to make it fast on every stage."

Speaking on day two, Petter added that the whole event was really just an extended test for the new car, which originally wasn't due out until after the summer break.

"We had a good steady pace today [Saturday], no risks and no damage. We drove well and made some positive changes to the car through the day. This is still really testing for us, so it's not been bad at all. There is still more to come so we must keep working. Tomorrow [Sunday] we will do the same, make a few more changes, and see how much we can push."
