Heading into this weekend's British Grand Prix, it is increasingly unlikely that Force India will fit a KERS system to its 2009 Formula One package.
The Silverstone-based team had intended to begin using Mercedes' energy re-use solution at the Nurburgring in Germany, but Adrian Sutil now admits that the KERS debut will "certainly not" take place at either of the next two races.
"If the performance of the KERS teams is analysed, it (KERS) seems to be no great advantage," the German driver is quoted as saying on Tuesday by Auto Motor und Sport.
Sutil added that to run with KERS at either Britain or the subsequent event in Germany would be "just too soon."
The team's commercial director Ian Phillips agreed, saying that Force India wants to assess the merits of "major aerodynamic updates" separate from other significant changes.
Mercedes' Norbert Haug added: "I do not know if they (Force India) want to use KERS this season."

Laughing out loud, not allowed to be in front of mccheats.
francis,go slap ya hamster.
Quite right Francis S. But then again, when you come in a constant 16, 17, 18, 19, or 20, why bother with anything.....
WHY BOTHER THEY'LL BE OUTLAWED FOR NEXT SEASON ANYWAY,
Liam.. Agreeing with Francis is kinda scary, I actually thumbed him "up"
Toyota are one of the "BIG" spenders in F1 and apart from Monaco have been competitive all year. Yet they refuse to even develop a KERS system?
They are not the all-pervasive power in F1, but they certainly are not dumb either.
Their road cars are highly developed in using Hybrid power. So. Why their total disregard for KERS?
i am shocked I found a comment by Francis S I agree with lol seriously though I think they should use it as it was the only thing keeping McClaren ahead of them in Turkey
KERS is another idea from Max that should die a quiet death.
My My my . aint this a joke. force india is waiting for mercedes to get it right before they put it on there car. just another fine example of maxs f1. no enginerring by force india . just a bunch a copying from the other teams.
