Ricardo Carvalho said he would welcome a move to Internazionale after accusing Chelsea of neglecting him when he was injured.
The Portugal defender is wanted by the Serie A champions, where his former boss Jose Mourinho is in charge.
The 31-year-old endured a frustrating campaign last season and injuries limited him to 18 appearances as the Blues finished third in the Premier League and won the FA Cup.
"I've been at Chelsea for five years, and four of them were very good, but this last season I spent a lot of time out injured," he said in the Daily Star.
"This last year I was injured a lot. I wasn't happy and Chelsea can't have been happy with my contribution.
"Furthermore, when I was injured the club should have given me more support. They should have helped me more, especially given my past four years at Chelsea.
"Their attitude disappointed me a little. I believe my time at Chelsea has come to an end and I'm very happy a big club like Inter are interested in me.
"It's a new challenge and I'd like to play in Italy."
Of former coach Mourinho, Carvalho added: "Mourinho's a coach who knows me better than anybody.
"Together we won big trophies. He's an ambitious coach and a perfectionist.
"Let's see if the clubs can reach an agreement. I'd love to work with Jose Mourinho again."

watch arsenal thrash chelski next season.
Time to say Goodbye then and get rid of Terry and Alex - Get some 1st class defenders with no injuries and young enough to kick arse
he is nice.
I heard he spent most of his 'sick' days getting his new 'toupee' ordered. Some footballers, have really lost it, eh?.He has been a good player for Chelsea, it just seems a shame that some footballers (maybe being misquoted by the press?)are not happy with their 'lot'. I would certainly keep my gob shut for their dough!
I am reeli shocked at Carvalho .he is being very ungrateful,or he is scared to fight Alex back for his place?
He is Chelseas best defender by miles, he makes meathead Terry look like a good player when he is alongside him. You wont win the league next year if you have Terry and Alex as your centre backs, too slow and not inteligent enough
I think he is a bit ungrateful here.He acknowledged that 4 out of his 5 years at the bridge has been great. He was left out because of his injuries, same with Essien, Deco and even Joe Cole. I think he is not sincere. If he wants to leave, he can go!!! Alex is a perfect match. Chelsea will not miss him much. But he is equally a good player. Good luck Carvalho.
Apart from continuing to pay excessive player wages, provide every domestic comfort and assistance for players and their families, and constant first class medical attention and sanitation, what did the Roman ever do for us?
Carvalho is a @#$%.
yah...................he should out from chelsea........coz Alax plays better than him.
LOL YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT FOOTBALL,NOT EVEN HOW TO SPELL YOUR OWN PLAYERS NAMES
Carvalho is the best defender Chelski have ever had and deserves better from Chelski fans
Im not a Chelski supported but i agree with the last chap. Alex maybe better than Carvalho but he's better than Terry
GET RID OF HIM HE IS A PAIN IN THE AR**SE ANYWAY
ya... better get lost.... make more space for the team to growth....
What a load of @#$% from yet another pathetic waste of space.
Let him go as he is useless anyway.
Chelsea neglected him when injured, that I find rather hard to believe for one moment.
What neglect is he referring to.
If its medical he should try the NHS!!!
get fooked then.@#$%
yah...................he should out from chelsea........coz Alax plays better than him.
