Sevilla and Tottenham have reached an undisclosed compensation agreement over Juande Ramos' departure for White Hart Lane in October 2007.
The Primera Division club accused Spurs of an illegal approach for their coach, who was under contract at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan until summer 2008.
A short statement from the Spanish club on Monday night read: "Sevilla and Tottenham reached an economic agreement on Monday to resolve their legal dispute which arose as a consequence of the departure of Juande Ramos from Sevilla, in October 2007, to coach the English team. The club are happy with the agreement."
Ramos was sacked by Tottenham last October after 12 months at the helm, and spent the second half of last season leading Real Madrid to a second-place finish in La Liga behind Barcelona.

That's the problem we've had as a Club... Just hoping that the board don't do anything funny midstream next season when the club will be faltering, if it does....
Hi rickarjay, I agree with you but MJ is now at Ajax, good luck to him there. You never know with Levi, when Harry decides to leave, or gets pushed, he might court Martin again. I don't put anything passed him. COYS
From longtimespur
WTF Spurs got what they deserve, which was what exactly?
I love Martin Jol disgusted at the WAY he was asked to leave but he did have to go, Ramos in the other hand just couldnt grasp the EPL simple as that same as Scolari
Spurs got what they deserve sacking Martin Jol give the man every penny so they wont treat Harry the same way
compensation for that @#$% ??? you must be crazy- if he was still there spurs would be in the second division next season. he should return the money they paid him under false protences
yeah thats true, but however that Spurs fans does'nt know who he is and never heard his name came up to join Spurs, why did the board check his record on his vc & they should know better or even ask the Spurs supporters bout him & what WE think of him, before joining Spurs. So in the future that the board should ask Spurs Supporters FIRST!!, then join the club, that is simple way of asking to our Spurs fans. VERY IMPORTANT.
Spot on andyamoss (comment 5). Martin Jol was excellent for Spurs and was treated shabbily by Levy and his sleazy sidekick in a raincoat. Caught on camera in Jol's last game, looking smug live on TV. Hope Harry does a good job... and all good wishes from me and many other Spurs fans for Martin at Hamburg
Stupid, stupid, stupid move by Levy. Not only does the process of getting hold of Ramos mean getting shot of Jol (spurs best manager in years), but it means completely undermining him in the process AND ruining the season for the team. All of which is just to bring in Ramos who didn't have a clue what he was doing (except making the players run a lot) and even if he did, he couldn't comunicate it to the players because he couldn't speak English. Finally, a fitting end to the debacle - having to pay out hefty compensation for the privalidge of all the above described nonsense!
Fortunately Levy's done alright since: bringing in Redknapp and leaving him alone. All that remains is to see if Redknapp can bring us back to where we were two seasons ago.
what a useless story.... waist of someones time....
Spurs should of agreed yo give him back!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wow.il sleep better tonight knowing that.
