Macclesfield boss Keith Alexander has targeted a shock victory against Leicester in the first round of the Carling Cup.

The Silkmen have been handed a plum home tie against last season`s League One champions, who will ply their trade in the Coca-Cola Championship again this coming season.

Alexander, whose side beat Blackpool in the competition last time around, said: "First and foremost you want to be drawn at home.

"I know we struggled at the Moss Rose last season but that is something we are determined to address this time around.

"And what better than a game against a Championship side? It will be a good test for the new squad and one we will look forward to."
