Boss Ian Hendon has hailed Barnet`s Carling Cup first round clash at home to Championship side Watford as a "fantastic opportunity" for the club.
The Bees were pitted against their local rivals in the draw on Tuesday morning with the tie to take place during the week commencing August 10.
And Hendon is relishing the prospect of entertaining Championship opposition at Underhill.
"That is a massive draw for us, despite the first round being regional you can't get much more local than Watford," he told the club's official website.
"Of course it will be very difficult to get past Championship opposition, but clearly that will be our aim.
"I am a big believer in a good cup run being very good for a club for all manner of reason, this draw is a fantastic opportunity for us."
