Tony Mowbray has been appointed Celtic manager, the club have confirmed.
The former West Brom manager will bring assistant Mark Venus and first-team coach Peter Grant, a former Celtic team-mate, with him to Parkhead and current Hoops coach Neil Lennon will also join the new management team.
Celtic have given Mowbray a 12-month rolling contract and the 45-year-old will meet the media at a press conference at Celtic Park on Wednesday morning.
Mowbray's appointment finally brings to an end weeks of speculation about who would succeed Gordon Strachan, who departed after failing to win his fourth Clydesdale Bank Premier League title in succession.
West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace reluctantly agreed to allow the Glasgow giants to speak to Mowbray on Saturday after Celtic agreed to pay £2million in compensation for the former Parkhead defender.
After Mowbray agreed personal terms, and compensation had been agreed for Venus and Grant, Celtic announced on their official website that the deal had been completed although there were no details of his contract or of what role Lennon will fulfil.
Lennon, who was part of Strachan's coaching team, was promised a role at Parkhead for next season by Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell and there has been speculation that Lennon would take over as reserve team coach from Willie McStay.
Mowbray's first job will be to assess his squad ahead of the first of possibly two tricky Champions League qualifiers at the end of July.
Mowbray will need no introduction to Hoops midfielder Scott Brown, midfielder Gary Caldwell and striker Chris Killen, all of whom were under his charge when he was Hibernian boss.
However, Mowbray will have to address several areas in the side and has already been linked with numerous players including Baggies captain Paul Robinson, Nancy striker Marc-Antoine Fortune, Iceland international Hermann Hreidarsson and Sweden Under-21 skipper Mattias Bjarsmyr.

(not gauranteed by any means)
I'm still dumbfounded how they can slate Tony Mowbray as a 'failed ' Manager. He got WBA promoted to the premiership in the first place - Arguably a tougher league to achieve anything as it's more of level playing field. He did this by playing the most attractive football in that league that season. Wolves have done it this season, but will probably be favourites to be relegated. All the teams promoted have struggled in some way or other although the teams who play 8-10 men behind the ball have done better like Stoke - But it would get football tagged with an 18 certificate as its gash to watch. Tony Mowbray never compromised once and even on the last game of the season, if results had went their way, could have kept them up - He was one game away from being a saviour... Look at how Phil Brown pranced about after keeping Hull up - And their football too was rank rotten.
Seeing as how Tony is inheriting good players, with 12 million on the table and a team that likes to attack I think you lot will not be crowing come next may.
Sha la la la la la la la Mowbray Sha la la la la la la la Mowbray Sha la la la la la la la wee granty is home again

Big fan of Wattie, however if u gers fans are hell bent on slating Mowbray, pls read this.....Under Smith, Everton finished in the bottom half of the table for three consecutive seasons. The Everton board finally ran out of patience with Smith and he was sacked in March 2002 after a 3–0 FA Cup Sixth Round defeat to Middlesbrough, with Everton in real danger of relegation from the Premier League. He was replaced by David Moyes, who delivered Everton to a safe finish in fifteenth place.[1]
