Leyton Orient midfielder Sean Thornton has signed a new contract at Brisbane Road.
The former Sunderland player, 26, has agreed a one-year deal with the option of a further year.
Thornton fell out of favour under previous manager Martin Ling and was loaned out to Shrewsbury at the start of the season, but he has shone under new boss Geraint Williams and has followed Scott McGleish, Andrew Cave-Brown and Loick Pires in agreeing fresh terms.
"We are delighted Sean has signed his new contract with the club," said Williams.
"The fact that everyone who was offered a new deal has signed shows they believe in the ambition we have for the club.
"It is great news that Sean is staying as we continue to build our squad for next year."

Sean was one of the most talented players to ever pull on a Sunderland shirt. If only he had the commitment and had kept out of the pub and the chipshop.
