Linfield manager David Jeffrey has confirmed Norwich have officially shown their interest in signing Northern Ireland striker Peter Thompson. The Canaries are set to go head-to-head with League Two side Stockport, who have already bid on the Irish Premier League frontman, as they seek a replacement for Darren Huckerby who joined MLS side San Jose Earthquakes last week.
Jeffrey told the Belfast Telegraph: "A move may be imminent - Norwich City have made contact for the first time and Stockport have put their offer in writing.
"They are both very good offers, they are now with the chairman and will be discussed by the board before any decision is made."
