Blackburn Rovers have invited Segundo Castillo to join them on their pre-season tour of Germany, but have not agreed to a £6million transfer. The Ecuador midfielder, a mooted target of Juventus, declared earlier in the week that he had agreed a three-year deal with the Ewood Park outfit.
However, while conceding their interest in the player, Rovers insist any talk of a prospective deal been struck is premature.
Rovers chief Paul Ince is eager to observe the Red Star Belgrade man close up and has invited him for a trial on Blackburn's pre-season trip to Germany.
And chairman John Williams is now waiting for an answer from Red Star Belgrade.
"We are working on the possibility of inviting him to Germany, but it may not happen," he told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
