Walsall first-team coach John Schofield has completed his UEFA Pro Licence - the highest qualification in coaching.Schofield, who completed the year-long course alongside Roy Keane among others, now joins boss Jimmy Mullen in having gained the qualification.
"It's an important qualification and I'm delighted to have the Pro Licence under my belt," he told the club's official website. "I'm already putting the things I've learnt into practice here."
Meanwhile, the Saddlers continued their pre-season preparations with a convincing 4-0 victory over Worcester City on Tuesday night.
Trialists Patrick Suffo (2) and Georges Ba both got on the scoresheet along with Dwayne Mattis, much to the delight of Mullen.
"The game was another step forward for us in our preparations," he said. "Once more I was pleased with the way in which the whole squad committed themselves to the task in hand. It was nice to see us get amongst the goals and also keep another clean sheet."
