Boss Alan Knill admits he has been suitably impressed by all of the trialists bidding to earn a permanent contract at Bury this summer. The Shakers currently have four players, including former Manchester United reserve team striker Phil Marsh, on trial at Gigg Lane and Knill admits he faces some tough decisions following this weekend's friendly against Huddersfield.
"All of the trialists have done their bit and brought something to the table. Both strikers - Marshy and Gary Wales - look bright and lively and then there's Michael Jones the left-winger who can cut in off the left wing and is a good, competent footballer and Danny Reach who can play almost anywhere.
"Obviously we're looking for a striker and we've lost Nicky (Adams) so we're looking for a left winger too.
"But the decision is looming on the trialists and hopefully we'll have a look at them against better opposition on Saturday but if it's a no, the sooner you can say the better so they can go and find another club."
