England will meet Australia in the Student World Cup final in Brisbane on Saturday after pulling off a surprise 30-22 win over defending champions New Zealand.

The Kiwis shot out to a 10-0 lead in as many minutes thanks to two tries from winger Emmanuel Toka, but England led 14-10 at the break and sealed victory with three quick-fire touchdowns midway through the second half.

In the other semi-final Australia gained a 26-10 victory over Wales, who will take on the Kiwis in the third-place play-off.

France will meet Greece in the plate final after victories over Scotland and Ireland respectively.
