French midfielder Olivier Kapo has completed his move to Wigan Athletic from Birmingham City.
The Ivory Coast-born 27-year old has signed a three-year contract at the JJB Stadium after completing a medical, with the fee reported to be an initial £2.5 million which could rise to £3.25 million.
The move re-unites Kapo with former boss Steve Bruce, who signed the left-footed former French international from Serie A giants Juventus last summer when he was manager of City.
Bruce said: "He's one I really wanted to get on board.
"Olivier's a real fighter, but he has a touch of quality about him.
"He can play in a number of positions and having worked with him in the past, I know what a good addition to our squad he will be.
"He has Premier League experience, which is important, and I'm confident he will do well here."
Kapo is Wigan's second signing of the summer following the arrival of Dutch midfielder Daniel de Ridder, who also joined from Birmingham.

kapo is a fair weather player anyway, august-october, he was good and in the team, when it got cold he didn't want to know, so how the hell he'll cope in wigan.......... have fun keeping him playing in december and january when he's freezing his a$$ off
Wigan are too decent a team for that. Birmingham were the worst team at the JJB last season. Just awful. Bruce got his sweet revenge.
I hope Bruce and Kapo do for Wigan what they did for the Blues and drop into the First Division where they deserve with the gates that they get
