Richard Offiong was the hero as Hamilton's dream start to life in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League continued with a 1-0 victory at Inverness.
The striker netted the only goal of a close encounter in first-half stoppage-time as Accies held on to top spot on goals scored with a second straight victory since promotion.
Caley Thistle new-boy Adam Rooney was impressive after he came on at half-time but he could not find an equaliser.
Kyle Lafferty claimed his first competitive goal for Rangers as they also maintained their 100% record in the SPL with a 2-0 victory against Hearts.
There was also a first goal of the season for Kris Boyd, who converted from the penalty spot in the final minute of the game.
It proved to be a day to forget for Hearts who were sent back to Edinburgh empty-handed, with Saulius Mikoliunas' red card doing little to aid their cause.
Elsewhere, Hibernian striker Colin Nish scored a brace to give his side their first SPL win of the season with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Falkirk.
Nish broke the deadlock after just 25 seconds when he was allowed to advance into the box before beating Robert Olejnik.
He doubled Hibs' lead in the 25th minute with an easy back-post header but Falkirk responded five minutes later through Michael Higdon.
Paul Hanlon restored the home side's two-goal lead after the break before Higdon notched his second of the game.
Charlie Mulgrew's late free-kick earned Aberdeen their first league win of the season as they beat Motherwell 1-0 at Fir Park.
Aberdeen had looked short of confidence following their defeat by Inverness but Mulgrew curled the ball home from 25-yards out to give them the win.
Motherwell enjoyed the better of the play but lacked a cutting edge and Jamie Langfield pulled off a great save from Paul Quinn's header.
St Mirren striker Jim Hamilton and Kilmarnock midfielder Mehdi Taouil both hit the crossbar in an otherwise uninspiring 0-0 draw at Love Street.
Both moments of excitement were out of place during a game that was littered by far too many unforced errors.
