Tiger Woods saw his four-shot lead cut in half on day three of the 91st US PGA Championship at Hazeltine National in Minnesota.
World number one Woods stuttered to a one-under-par 71 in Saturday's third round, opening the door for defending champion Padraig Harrington and South Korea's YE Yang to move within two shots of his leading mark at eight under par.
Harrington attacked the long Hazeltine layout from the outset and made four birdies on his way to a fine round of 69, but a bogey at the last cost him a place in the final pairing on Sunday.
Instead, Yang, who made six birdies on his way to a superb 67, will join four-times champion Woods as he seeks to win a fifth US PGA Championship and a 15th Major title.
And he will do so with the knowledge that Woods has never lost going into the final round of a Major with the lead.
Sweden's Henrik Stenson and US Open champion Lucas Glover carded rounds of 68 and 71 respectively to stand four shots adrift of the lead at four under par.
South Africa's Ernie Els got to six under with three birdies in five holes on his back nine, but 'The Big Easy' suffered back-to-back bogeys at 16, 17 and 18 to finish in a tie for sixth at three under.
Els was joined by Denmark's diminutive Soren Kjeldsen at that mark, who made six birdies and four bogeys in an eventful third-round 70.
England's Ross Fisher and Alvaro Quiros of Spain are among a group of players one shot further back at two under par for the championship.
Twenty-year-old Rory McIlroy shot 71 on Saturday to stand at one under on his US PGA Championship debut, where he was joined by Lee Westwood and US Ryder Cup captain Corey Pavin.
Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell had a one-under-par 71 to get back to level par for the championship.
England's Ian Poulter had a day to forget, making three bogeys and a double on his way to an expensive four-over-par 76 that brought an end to his challenge.

Always wins when he leads going into the final round. Expect Tiger win. These runs always come to an end eventually though. Time for a Far Eastern Major soon I hope.
