Serie A - Boateng in Italy ahead of move

Portsmouth's Kevin-Prince Boateng has arrived in Italy where he is expected to sign for Genoa before being immediately loaned out to Serie A rivals AC Milan.

“I’m coming to Italy. For me it is a dream come true," Boateng told Bild before making his trip.

The 23-year-midfielder starred for Ghana during the World Cup and impressed for Pompey last season despite the club's relegation.

Reports suggest Genoa will pay the cash-strapped Championship club around £5 million for his services.

However, Boateng may never play for Genoa, as any loan deal is likely to include a clause that would allow Milan to sign the player permanently next summer.
