Everton midfielder Phil Neville admits he would love to manage boyhood club Bury when he hangs up his boots.
The 31-year-old, along with brother and Manchester United defender Gary, went to the local Elton High School and their mother and grandmother still work in the area.
And while Phil has no plans to quit playing in the near distant future, he would jump at the chance to take the Gigg Lane hotseat when his career comes to an end.
"I do have aspirations to be a manager," he told the Bury Times.
"I hope that's a long time away, but I have always had a special place for Bury in my heart and I always try and support them when I can.
"People always say that one day me and my brother Gary might be managing Bury, and if we are lucky enough to ever do that it would be a fantastic thing - I will always be a Bury boy and I love the club."
