Premier League - Cech doubt for Boro clash

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech is a doubt for the Premier League match against Middlesbrough after he was ruled out of the Czech Republic's World Cup Group 3 qualifier at home to Slovenia.

"Today's morning stretching showed that the thigh injury limits Petr so much that he could not give a 100 per cent performance," national team coach Petr Rada said on the Czech FA's website.

Cech was injured in the qualifier in Poland which the Czech Republic lost 2-1.

Carlo Cudicini is on standby in case Cech does not make the clash at the Riverside.

  1. Cudicini was the best keeper in the EPL the season­ before Cech took over. Man U wanted him at one time.­ Cudicini is the man to keep goal if Cech is injured.

  3. hello guys, it is sad that cech is injured. but i­ believe we have the best keepers in the epl and we­ don't have anything to fear. carlo cuducini is up­ to the task. up chelsea!

  5. chelsea should not have problems with or w/out him. ya­ he's a very good gollie but he's not that damn­ good. he has good cleansheet record at chelsea bcoz he­ got very solid defence in front of him. just look when­ he's playing with national side. completely­ venerable..! remember Euro 2008? i almost forgot­ he's chelsea no.1 keeper during watching Czech­ Republic back then..

  6. Haba Cudicini is a good keeper.. Cech is better than­ him thats why he got relegated to the bench. I bet­ he'll be happy now that Cech is injured. Hilario or­ cudicini, who ever Scolari picks against Boro, Must­ keep a clean sheet.

    Sorry Petr Cech and is a pety, almost all Chelsea­ players are injured. In my opinion Cudicini is a­ gunner. He has a basket hands. The 3rd goalkeeper­ should take charge is Cech is unfit or even Tailor but­ not Cudicini please. 4rm Idris Tari.
