Macclesfield got back to winning ways at Whaddon Road as they beat Martin Allen's Cheltenham 2-1 in League Two.
Striker Reneil Sappleton gave Keith Alexander's side a 27th-minute lead with a clinical finish to quieten down the home fans.
John Rooney then doubled the visitor's lead two minutes before half-time as things went from bad to worse for Cheltenham.
Allen must have given his side a stern talking to at the break because the Robins returned in the second half a better side.
Forward Elvis Hammond reduced the deficit with an opportunist finish in the 69th minute, but the hosts could not prevent Macclesfield from taking the spoils.
Alexander was again without Paul Morgan and Sean Hessey for the trip to Cheltenham, but his side battled hard for their win to banish the memory of last weekend's home defeat to Lincoln.
