A strong start and finish from Ronnie O'Sullivan helped propel him to the top of the Premier League standings with a 4-2 win over Shaun Murphy in Aberdeen.
An opening break of 104 and a closing effort of 75 contributed to the Rocket's victory and consigned Murphy to bottom spot in the table.
O'Sullivan went 3-0 up early in the match and looked to be cruising but an 81 break put Murphy on the board.
He then edged the next frame to give himself a chance of a draw but another clinical break from O'Sullivan ensured him the win.
In the evening's other match John Higgins and Stephen Hendry played out a 3-3 draw.
Higgins came back from 2-0 down to lead 3-2 but Hendry took the last frame to ensure the spoils were shared.
