Carlisle manager Greg Abbott will hand a debut to new signing Vincent Pericard when he takes his side to Yeovil.
The former Juventus, Portsmouth and Stoke striker has signed a short-term deal with the Cumbrians after impressing on trial and goes straight into Abbott's plans.
Captain Paul Thirlwell misses the trip with a long-standing Achilles complaint, with youngster Simon Lakeland (knee) is also out.
Defender David Raven will not travel with the rest of the squad either after failing to shake off a hip injury, while Gary Madine and Michael Burns also miss out through illness.
United go into the game searching for their first win in seven attempts. They were beaten 1-0 by Norwich last weekend, with their last league victory coming on September 5 when they beat Tranmere 3-0.
