Manchester City forward Robinho has heard nothing official regarding Barcelona's latest reported interest in him but would relish the chance to play for the European champions.
Robinho was closely linked with Barca this summer and, although no move was forthcoming then, there has been continued speculation that the Catalan giants will try to take the former Real Madrid man back to La Liga during the January transfer window, possibly on loan.
"Of course I would like to play for Barca, who wouldn't? We could have so much fun. It would be a pleasure to play next to (Lionel) Messi, to my compatriot (Dani) Alves, Xavi, (Andres) Iniesta, (Zlatan) Ibrahimovic... with all of them. They are a great team," Robinho was quoted as saying by El Mundo Deportivo.
The Brazil international, who is currently recovering from an ankle injury, only joined City just over a year ago from Madrid for a British record transfer fee of £32.5million but the 25-year-old made no secret of his admiration for Barca or his desire to play for Pep Guardiola's all-conquering side.
He continued: "I've played against them and I know their quality. But at the moment at the moment I can only do it (play with them) on the PlayStation. It's an honour that a coach like him (Guardiola) speaks highly of Robinho, and rates me as much as I read he does."
Robinho insists he has not heard anything from Barca though, adding: "I can assure that at this time my father, who is my only representative, has not told me anything about Barca. I repeat, I don't know anything.
"As well as that, out of respect to Manchester City who are my team, it must be the two clubs who talk about my loan or transfer and then they will tell me. It's not correct that we talk about this hypothetical transfer or loan until there is something more concrete.
"It's not a question of going on loan or being transferred, either in the winter transfer market or in the summer. It's a question of sitting down to talk when there is a serious and concrete offer, which, I repeat, has not arrived to me personally.
"Now it wouldn't be right to make more comments which could be misinterpreted. What is clear is that I have a contract with City and, like the professional that I am, my responsibility is to them."

no no no no no no no no
barca are better than city and if robinho was wise he would leave the city of manchester/........................///////////......... ............///////////.,./''''' 9;'/..;'[/.;l;p[;'.lp[;'./
sa va fac in cur si nas pe toti
Robinho the little piggit but big garbbage
RObinho = gunoi stradal pisat tot pe el de pitic ordinar..cu stilu lui de joc "pe burta " sau pe pula sa-l trag de ordinar
Robinho= piece of @#$%
Robinho i'm terrible sorry to tell you but, my stupid friend you become a garbagge step by step, good luck
Post 4 from mickey mouser - because he's scored......not a single goal this season as he's only played twice. City don't need his goals, but do need someone who can cross a ball so Hleb and Ya Ya Toure in exchange would do nicely, thanks.
The truth is, wonderful talent that he is, he doesn't fit into City's team and would be better off abroad - he'd go with our best wishes.
City don't now need him to attract other names, so he's served his purpose in that respect as well. Martin Petrov need sot play more as RSC and Adebayor would gobble up his crosses for fun.
In spite of all the @#$% comments on here from Liverpool and Manure supporters, it seems to me that we are doing quite well without Robinho. We are paying him a lot of money at the moment to do nothing, so If his heart is in Barcelona let him go.
city would be better off with out him..yer fair enough he is a good player, but he is also very lazy with no idea of defending...he is no were near there best player that would be bellamy at the moment..
Robinho:
I'd like to play for Barca, cos i'hv finally realised Man City is S.HITE....
Players today are an embarassment. Where's the loyalty? If you want to play for someone else keep it to yourself until the move is at least possible. I'm not a City fan, but he hasn't exactly been the most reliable player for them has he? Seems like he's injured 3 out of every 4 games.
if robiho goes so do city sliding down the table
Robinho need's to leave Ctiy and play for a decent team who are going to win titles. City will end up mid table and win nothing this season or next, and the one after and after that, etc...
Carlos will go the same way, as soon as sparky drops him from the team for being useless, he will want to move.
So Robinho wants to play for Barcelona eh? The sooner he goes the better, this fair weather footballer can't go quick enough for me. Tear his contract up in January , Sparky, as this shows he has no club loyalty whatsoever.
oh no...city have lost their best player already....
