Striker Paul Heffernan claims Doncaster are fired up for Saturday's Championship derby against Barnsley.

Rovers were beaten both times last season by their Yorkshire neighbours and Heffernan, who did not play in either game, is eager to ensure Doncaster get the bragging rights after Saturday's encounter.

"I'm sure that the fans felt let down by both results - especially with them both being derby games," Heffernan told the Sheffield Star.

"I didn't play in either game last season but I'm hoping to be involved tomorrow and help the lads put the record straight.

"It is a big game for both clubs and I'm sure that both sets of fans will be looking forward to it."
