Strevens could earn substitute role

Brentford striker Ben Strevens is close to returning to action ahead of the London derby trip to Leyton Orient.

The former Dagenham hitman has yet to make his competitive debut for the Bees after breaking his leg in pre-season, but he played 45 minutes for the reserves in midweek.

Boss Andy Scott, a former Orient player, wants Strevens to have at least one more second-string game but may be tempted to name him on the bench.

Midfielder David Hunt will miss out against his old club with the foot injury which has kept him out for nearly a month.

But goalkeeper Lewis Price and defender James Wilson return to the squad after missing the goalless draw at Hartlepool due to international duty.
