A round-up of all Sunday's Serie A action as Roma beat Lazio 1-0 in a highly-charged derby while Milan returned to second place.
ROMA 1 LAZIO 0
Julio Baptista headed the only goal of a Rome derby that was high on passion but low on quality.
Each side had a player sent off in a scrappy physical encounter - Cristian Ledesma for Lazio, the Roma's Simone Perrotta as time wound down.
Despite the efforts of lively attacking trio Goran Pandev, Mauro Zarate and Tommaso Rocchi. Lazio were unable to break the 'home' side's resitance.
The telling moment came five minutes into the second half, when Baptista redicted a Francesco Totti cross from the left side into the far corner past Juan Pablo Carrizo.
Despite the win, Luciano Spalletti's side stay 17th in the table, just one place about the relegation zone, while Lazio are fifth.

MILAN 1 CHIEVO VERONA 0
Kaka's penalty after the Brazilian had been tripped put the hosts a point behind leaders Inter.
Kaka appeared to be clipped by Simone Bentivoglio just outside the area on television replays. Milan suffered some nervous moments but could have extended their advantage late on.

ATALANTA 3 NAPOLI 1
Thomas Manfredini's deflected free kick and Sergio Floccari's injury-time finish handed the spoils to the home side after tensions threatened to boil over in Bergamo.
Marek Hamsik's penalty had pulled Napoli level at 1-1 after Manfredini was penalised despite winning the ball in a tackle on Ezequiel Lavezzi.
Ferreira Pinto gave the hosts the lead in the second half with Napoli striker Marcelo Zalayeta was sent off for two bookings after the opener.

CAGLIARI 1 FIORENTINA 0
Robert Acquafresca dispatched a penalty on the half hour after Alessandro Gamberini was adjudged to have fouled the Cagliari striker.

CATANIA 3 TORINO 2
Giuseppe Mascara bagged a hat-trick to seal a topsy-turvy game for the hosts.
The striker, who earlier curled in a free kick to make it 2-1, scored from close range after Nicola Amoruso's penalty following a foul on Riccardo Colombo had brought Torino level.
Colombo had prodded in at the far post to give Torino a sixth-minute lead but the Sicilians struck back almost immediately when Mascara tapped in from a pullback by Michele Paolucci, who later missed a good chance.

SAMPDORIA 3 LECCE 2
Gennaro Delvecchio headed in unmarked to put the hosts in front on 11 minutes before Antonio Cassano bent in a superb goal from 20 metres.
Striker Simone Tiribocchi gave Lecce hope when he nodded in 10 minutes into the second half but Marius Stankevicius extended Samp's lead with a looping header before Tiribocchi was allowed to score a second after blocking the ball with his hand in the box.

SIENA 1 BOLOGNA 1
Home striker Abdel Kader Ghezzal's bullet header from a free kick sparked the game into life and Bologna equalised on halftime through Marco Di Vaio after they were awarded a dubious penalty.
Emanuele Calaio sent another debatable penalty wide for Siena in the second half.

UDINESE 0 REGGINA 1
Franco Brienza volleyed in a dropping ball to drag Reggina off the bottom with a deserved win.
Reggina, beaten on penalties by the hosts in the Italian Cup in midweek, had much the better of the game and could have won more easily.
Udinese forward Simone Pepe had a goal ruled out for offside but the hosts put in one of their worst performances of a so far impressive season.

Mr. reporter, just for your information, the penalty for Milan was correct. I just saw the game and Milan was all over Chievo! Chievo's golkeeper had a fantasic day and saved at least 3 goals easy! Don't just put the comment there! "struggle"??"Contested penalty?"
