Gillingham have taken experienced midfielder Micah Hyde on trial after he was released by Peterborough United last month.The 34-year-old midfielder has been training with the Gills this week.

Hyde has made just shy of 600 professional appearances in a career which has also seen him play for Cambridge, Watford and Burnley.

He is set to play in Wednesday's reserve game with QPR at Priestfield, when forward Dennis Oli is to make his return after three months out with a foot injury.
