Cardiff midfielder Joe Ledley has insisted he would rather focus on his football than think about signing a new deal with the club.Chairman Peter Ridsdale has already confirmed having talks with the midfielder, whose contract expires in the summer of 2010, but it seems discussions with the Wales international will now be on hold.
Ledley told the South Wales Echo: "It's strange all this contract talk has come up now when I have so long left on it.
"I have 18 months left on a contract I'm happy with. I'm back to my best and focused on helping City win promotion.
"I am just happy playing for Cardiff. We are fifth in the Championship and I believe we can still earn automatic promotion.
"Wolves, Birmingham City and Reading are not too far ahead just yet."
