Macclesfield Town midfielder Lee Bell insists his side's recent upturn in form can be attributed to hard work.The Silkmen have lost only one of their last eight games in all competitions and recorded a thumping 4-2 win at Chesterfield last Friday.

Bell said: "I think early on in the season we were looking for excuses. I know I had a few moans and groans.

"Now we are all just getting our heads down and doing the jobs we are sent out to do and I think our recent run of results would suggest we are reaping the benefits of the hard work."
