Sunderland winger Ross Wallace hopes he can win an international recall with Scotland if he can continue his good form on loan at Preston.Wallace is flourishing at Deepdale after joining in a loan deal which could become a permanent transfer next month.

He was outstanding during the 1-0 win over Birmingham and Scotland boss George Burley was at Deepdale to witness his performance.

Wallace said: "I'm glad I was able to put in a decent performance in front of George Burley.

"I was disappointed that I didn't get in the squad last year when I was playing in the Premiership and I just hope to be involved when the next one is named."
