Peterborough striker Aaron Mclean has backed Chris Westwood to step into the side when Darren Ferguson's men take on Leicester this weekend.Gabriel Zakuani has not finished on the losing side since joining Posh on loan from Fulham in September but is not available to play again until completing a permanent move ahead of the FA Cup tie with West Brom in January.
But Mclean is confident that the experienced Westwood will be up to the task as Posh defend their 16-game unbeaten league run at the Walkers Stadium.
Mclean said: "Gaby has been awesome in his time here, but we have built a big squad to cover for times like this.
"It's not as though Chris Westwood is a mug. He proved last season that he's a class act and he formed a fantastic partnership with Craig Morgan.
"I have no doubts they will be strong again together at Leicester. Even without Gaby I think we have a great chance of winning there. There's a lot of confidence in the squad and we are on a great run."
