Hearts captain Christophe Berra has admitted an interest in playing in the Premier League after being linked with a move to Bolton.
The 23-year-old, who was the subject of a bid from Championship outfit Wolves last summer, has been attracting interest from clubs following a series of impressive SPL displays this term.
Berra admits he is still developing as a player, but would like to test himself and sees the Premier League as the perfect playground to showcase his talent.
"These things will happen when you're playing well," he told the Daily Record following reported interest from Bolton.
"Wolves did make an offer and things at the club at the time were unsettled because we didn't have a manager.
"The club rejected the offer, but I have ambitions to play at a higher level, hopefully, in the English Premier League.
"I'm only 23 and still developing as a player. However, if I keep playing an improving I'm sure my chance will come."

rangers might sign him in 15 years when hes at his prime like weir and daily
if berra goes down south he is going to be playing against the worlds best players which will turn him into a £15 million player easy and if he stays in scotland he is a fool.
if berra is to leave tynecastle then it has to be down south. he is just too good a player for any wee team from glasgow. bolton would be a good stepping stone for his career. personally i hope he gives hearts another season, just to show celts and gers what a quality defender looks like.
CELTIC SHOULD SIGN HIM THEY ARE A BETTER SIDE THAN RANGERS AND THERE FANS ARE SCUM ALSO KNOWN AS THE ANIMALS
he will go down south he wants to step up his career not take a side step with rangers
