Fijian flanker Akapusi Qera has agreed a two-year contract extension with Guinness Premiership leaders Gloucester.
Qera, 23, has proved one of Gloucester's most consistent players since arriving at Kingsholm from National League One side Pertemps Bees after the World Cup last autumn.
His new deal will see him remain a Gloucester player until at least June 2010.
Gloucester head coach Dean Ryan said: "I think it is pretty obvious to people who watch Gloucester regularly that Akapusi is a special talent.
"He offers us different options. He is a line-breaker, a destructive tackler and an athlete who is also blessed with tremendous pace."
