Blackpool have handed a trial to former Hibernian and Celtic forward Derek Riordan.
The 29-year-old turned out for the Seasiders in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Bolton on Monday following an unsuccessful spell with Chinese outfit Shaanxi Chan-Ba that ended in November.
Riordan has 95 Scottish Premier League goals to his name, making him the third-highest scorer in the history of the competition behind Kris Boyd and Henrik Larsson.
Tangerines boss Ian Holloway recently had his attacking options reduced when Callum McManaman returned to parent club Wigan at the end of his loan spell at Bloomfield Road, although Tom Ince has impressed since being introduced into the starting line-up in recent weeks.
Reports suggest a number of clubs are chasing Riordan's signature, ranging from Kilmarnock to Turkish outfit Kayserispor.
