Luton manager Mick Harford has described the job he faces at Kenilworth Road as the toughest of his managerial career to date. The Hatters remain deep in relegation trouble after Jabo Ibehre's goal for Leyton Orient inflicted a fourth straight league defeat and a sixth loss in seven games since the arrival of Harford.
Harford, who has seen his hands tied with the club in administration, said: "I have had some massive challenges at Rotherham, Nottingham Forest and QPR but this is the toughest of the lot.
"Hopefully there will be a good future of the club but right now it is very difficult for everyone here."
Of the defeat to Orient, he added: "The efforts, the commitment and the work rate of the players was first class but just at the moment things are not going our way. We had a lot of possession but we didn't create much until Paul Furlong came on to be honest, and that is disappointing.
"We had a lot of the ball, and put a few crosses into the box but we couldn't get anything on the end of them. Unfortunately the club is on a bit of a downer and you seem to get these sorts of results in those situations."
