Birmingham manager Alex McLeish believes defender David Murphy has settled in well at St Andrews following his January move from Hibernian.Murphy, who signed in a £1.5million deal, has made two appearances for Blues against Derby and West Ham.
McLeish told the Birmingham Mail: "His home debut against Derby was successful, a good opening for him to endear himself to the fans.
"At Saturday's game against West Ham, I felt Freddie Ljungberg was going to be a big test for him. Ljungberg is so quick off the mark that in the first 10 minutes it looked as if he was in for a hard time.
"But he stuck to his task and showed his ruggedness and resilience and a little bit of tenacity getting close to the wide men.
"In the end, I felt he came through it with flying colours and passed the test."
