Pulis: Fans made the difference

Sun 17 Feb, 02:00 PM

Tony Pulis revealed Stoke's fans were largely responsible for his side's comeback against Scunthorpe at the Britannia Stadium. The Potters trailed 2-0 to lowly Scunthorpe at half-time, but were given a raucous reception at the start of the second period.

Pulis said: "I hope we can get them back again, because you can't tell me they didn't make a difference.

"They made a hell of a difference, especially the second half. We came out at half-time, 2-0 down and they roared the players back on to the pitch.

"That gave myself and all the players a massive lift. We needed it to be honest with you, and I really want to thank them so much for that.

"It's brilliant as a manager to know that the supporters are right behind the players."
