Goals from Carlos Cuellar and Kris Boyd gave Rangers a 2-0 win at Kilmarnock, while Hibernian came from behind to beat Aberdeen 3-1 at Easter Road.

The win puts Rangers four points clear of Celtic at the top of the SPL.

The visitors took the lead on 25 minutes when captain Barry Ferguson headed Chris Burke's centre across goal for Spanish defender Cuellar to loop a header over 'keeper Alan Combe.

Former Kilmarnock striker Boyd hammered home a penalty after 63 minutes to make it 2-0 after defender Jamie Hamill handled.

"It was an open game... and a little bit end to end, but with not that many opportunities," Boyd said. "But the best of them, obviously, fell to ourselves.

"We were delighted to get the three points."

Celtic had cut Rangers' lead at the top of the standings to one point after beating Hearts 3-0 on Saturday.

Hibs, meanwhile, triumphed over Aberdeen thanks to second half goals from Merouane Zemmama, Dean Shiels and Steven Fletcher.

Defender Zander Diamond had put the visitors ahead with an 18th-minute finish following Jeffrey De Visscher's corner, but three minutes after the break Morrocco midfielder Zemmama levelled with a superb free kick while six minutes later former Arsenal trainee Shiels completed the win with a cool finish after Jamie Langfield blocked his initial shot.

Fletcher completed the win with an injury-time header, and Hibs leapfrog the Dons to move fifth in the SPL.
