Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey was the narrow winner in this week's vote for the Premier League Goal of the Week.

Within five minutes of coming on, Ramsey levelled the scores against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. When a shot was deflected into his path 20 yards from goal, the Welshman executed a lovely low shot which pinged off the inside of one post, bounced along the line and then went in off the other.

It earned 31% of your vote, narrowly edging out Louis Saha's second goal for Tottenham in their 5-0 demolition of Newcastle United.

  12. Ramsey's goal was the least memorable of the ones­ here, nothing remotely comparable to Mark Davies'­ shot, and not worthy for comparison with the other­ four. Any of the other four should have won instead.­ But it doesn't always work that way, does it? I­ blame Yahoo. =D

    Personally, Peter's goal was­ the most eye pleasing for me, a beautiful team goal.­ But my vote was on Mark Davies' goal, a well taken­ goal out of nothing.

  15. and yet again a player from a top club gets the goal of­ the week simply because he has more fans and not­ because it was the best goal.... Mark Davies was­ definitely better as, similar to Ramsey's, it had­ no passing play involved, however Davies one was the­ better strike. I'd say that Saha's goal was the­ best though because it was a clean strike with great­ passing play :)
