Michael Doyle and Stephen Hughes are early injury worries for Coventry's crucial clash against relegation rivals Southampton at the weekend. Both players suffered injuries in the goalless home draw against fellow strugglers Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday and are doubts for the trip to St Mary's.

"Doyler got a bit of concussion and was a little bit disorientated. He didn't want to come off but the doctor and physio said it was very dangerous to go on," said Sky Blues manager Chris Coleman. "It is a shame because he is an influential player for us.

"Stephen has got a worry with his medial ligament. He played the second half (against Sheffield Wednesday) in a bit of pain."
