Notts County assistant manager Dave Kevan was impressed by Wayne Corden's performance on his Magpies debut at Peterborough. The 32-year-old winger joined County from Leyton Orient on loan until the end of the season on Friday and as thrust straight into the starting line up for the goalless draw at London Road the following day.
Kevan believes Corden could play a pivotal role in County's bid for Football League survival.
"I thought he did very well. It was a tough game for him to come into, coming up against a very strong side," said Kevan. "But he gave us a bit of balance and a threat when he had the ball. I am sure he will be a good signing for us.
"There were glimpses of what Wayne can give us. He has played a lot of his football in and around this level so he knows his way around this league and he knows what is required.
"Hopefully he can build on that performance, and the rest of the players can as well."
