Mackail-Smith shares Posh ambition

Craig Mackail-Smith believes he can "realise his ambitions" with Peterborough after signing a new four-and-a-half-year contract extension.The 24-year-old forward penned the deal which will keep him at London Road until 2012, and is aiming to become an integral part of manager Darren Ferguson's plans.

He told the club's official website: "I am having a great time at Peterborough and I am really pleased to be able to commit my future for four and a half years.

"Everyone is enjoying their football at the moment and the club has big ambitions that I want to be a part of. I believe I can realise my ambitions with Posh."

The Posh forward has scored 26 goals in 46 games since his move from Dagenham in January 2007.
