Wolves manager Mick McCarthy has praised goalscorer Seyi Olofinjana for his response to being dropped. The Nigerian was left out of the squad for Wolves' games with Colchester, Southampton and Preston, after poor club performances since returning from African Cup of Nations duty.
But he was restored to the Wanderers' starting line-up on Saturday, and scored the first goal as Wolves went on to humble Burnley 3-1 at home on Saturday.
"Seyi came back from the African Nations Cup not playing the way he or I would like," McCarthy told the club's official website.
"He was left out but came back and did well."
Olofinjana could prove a key figure in an injury-hit Wolves squad as they try and launch a late bid for the play-offs.
