Stockport midfielder David Poole has paid tribute to the club's supporters following his match-winning exploits against Lincoln.County won 1-0 at Sincil Bank on Saturday after Poole came off the substitutes' bench and fired the winner in the 68th minute.
Poole was elated after his side equalled a Football League record of eight consecutive away wins but was quick to acknowledge the travelling fans.
He said: "When you are on the pitch you get goose bumps because of the crowd, and it's an absolutely tremendous boost.
"It's no wonder they are called the 12th man because they are. It is like having another man on the pitch when you hear that atmosphere because it does get you going."
Meanwhile, Stockport defender Ashley Williams has been called into the Wales squad for next week's encounter against Luxembourg.
