Richards ruled out for Seagulls

Mon 17 Mar, 04:30 PM

Full-back Matt Richards has been ruled out of play-off chasing Brighton's trip to Huddersfield after suffering a hamstring injury. The on-loan left-back had to leave the field during the first half of Saturday's 1-0 win over Doncaster and will undergo a scan to discover the extent of the problem.

Long-serving defender Kerry Mayo replaced Richards at the weekend and is set to start against Town.

Albion should otherwise be unchanged as they go in search of a victory which would lift them up to sixth.

Midfielder Paul Reid and defender Adam Hinshelwood (both knee) remain their only other injury absentees.

Right-back Andrew Whing collected his 10th yellow card of the season against Rovers and begins a two-match ban when Brighton host Swindon on Saturday.
