Luke Rodgers believes under-pressure manager Lee Sinnott is the man to take Port Vale forward even though their relegation looks inevitable.Sinnott has won only four of his 27 games in charge of the Valiants after joining the club from Farsley Celtic, where he managed to achieve three promotions in just four years - and despite his faltering start, Rodgers is convinced Sinnott is the man for the job.

Rodgers told BBC Radio Staffordshire: "He's brilliant, probably the best manager I've had. He's given us all a chance and he's been fair to everyone.

"Results haven't gone his way, but I hope we can turn it round between now and the end of the season."
