Paul Holland has been in charge of first-team affairs since Billy Dearden left the relegation-threatened League Two club by mutual consent immediately after the Stags' 4-0 defeat to Rochdale on March 8th at Field Mill (pictured).

Holland is in the frame for the job along with another former Mansfield player Billy McEwan.

Booth told the club's official website: "I will not be rushed into making a decision. But I am hopeful an announcement will be made within the next 48 hours.

"The decision has to be the right one for Mansfield Town. This is a very important time for the club and the next seven weeks will be very intense for us."
